Possible Alternative Selling Treasure/Loot

  • Was wondering if this was an Idea?
    A possible 'Sell All Loot' option when you Dock Up but at the cost of a Loss of say.. 15-20% Gold
    Or a 'Sell All' option at each Emissary

    Just an idea as Reapers, you can sell Everything so is on my One Port of call, making it Quicker.

    For example, I'm guessing most players build up Treasure/Loot before Selling up which is tedious when it comes to Selling Up, back and forth for sometimes even 20-30 mins depending on how much you've built up on your Ship, like me.

    What do you think? 😊

  • we already have the sovereigns which goes too far as it is the last thing this game needs is a way for people to automatically sell all there loot instantly

    Would be at a cost 😊 Of course
    Would would be able to run back and forth to get the Full Reward but that's just time consuming, especially with the risk of Sweaty Players trying to sink Others while Selling Up
    I feel it would be a Decent Addition to a Pretty Good game

  • @pumpkinkingmthd gonna say no here. Reapers are supposed to have a risk factor for selling loot as they are a PvP orientated faction. Sovereigns already have it quick enough with no penalty, so they don’t need further boosts.

  • @pumpkinkingmthd i dont care if you only get 1% of the gold if you do it. theres been too much risk removed already the last thing we need is the removal of all risk

  • If they did this at all, then it absolutely has to be at a much steeper cost imo, and bars selling if another player ship is anywhere within a set range from you as a counter from stealing a bunch of some ones loot, and running to sell instantly, or to keep people from throwing away most of their value to deny a steal. We all already know people would red sea their loot not cause they wanted it, but cause they didnt want you to have it.

    IMO something that could in any measure be used by the same people that tried to red sea loot to be poor sports has to be designed right to prevent the same sort of treatment from players, and its just easier for the devs and for everyone who dealt with someone using the red sea to deny loot, if they just dont implement something like this.

    When the options are work to make something that can be abused by poor sports, or putting extra work into it to make it less abusable, or not adding something that offers minimal convenience for a bad trade off, i vote not adding it.

    Key words here. What if I wanted to save those ashen wind skulls and someone on crew decided to “sell all” or even the tridents?

    The general idea of the games is to create kind of an adventure type theme, and getting loot is one of the key mechanics of the game, as is looting from other crews.

    With less risk, turning in loot would be the most boring thing you could do.

    You may not realize it now, but after maybe a month or two of selling without interruption or interference from other players, your loot is going to start looking like some barrels in the water.

    So remove any danger of selling loot really... Just jump off boat while being chased and do quick sell all option.

  • Only agree if the" sell all" option provides you half the earnings of the safer seas, without any commendation and emissary leveling possibilities
