Guild emissary flag should be buffed

  • Right now guild emissary 5 multiplier is 1.75, while other emissaries have it at 2.5
    It's amazing that guild emissaries exist at all, but unless you are swimming around collecting random junk from emergent captains and that's it, it's way more profiteable to run other emissary flags.
    Back in the day the loot from events was split equally between each faction... but now with raid voyages you can literally pick what type of loot you will get!

    I think it should be buffed to 2.0 at grade 5. I agree with it being weaker than other emissary flags, but right now it's very lacking, especially when compared to Reapers Bones.
    And yes, RB marks you on the map and you can sell it only in one spot on the map, but the payoff is still waaay higher.

    Not appearing on the map & selling at the Sov is a nice advantage to have. There's still got to be reason to go Reaps.

  • Honestly I couldn't disagree more. If you only do specific emissary missions, don't island hop , do emergent or world events so only ever have the specific loot type then yes that emissary flag will be better. But I'd say for the vast majority being able to sell all loot is more beneficial. I value time more over gold so I'd happily take a hit on reaper bonus for the convenience of a harpoon at the hideout.

  • Considering guild offers a boost to everything for a very fast sell point, and bottle quests offer a massive variety in high value, i would say its more than fair. Its not designed for focused gameplay, but for a more variety packed session, not to mention its the only thing that offers emissary bonus to fish.

  • The way i looked at guild emissary is as a reaper light (less risky, especially great for solo) where you sacrifice half of the additional gold bonus, being able to spot emissaries and sell flags but gain the convenience of more and easier selling points, and the fact you will be leveling up all other companies instead of just one. This advantage also extends if you compare it to the other emissaries. As others have pointed out, for general use (such as world events), guild outweighs individual companies. If you were to do a session as hoarder, one as order and one as merchants, and you have a friend that instead does 3 sessions as guild, the latter will end up with the most gold and rep earned (by about a 50% margine). If guild was any more powerful than it already is it would make all other factions redundant.

  • Guilds work together tho.

    So if say 5 guild ships are active, each with Grade 5....the exp gained is gonna have to be adjusted.
