@zdonzai if you believe they’ve been cheating, report them directly to Rare via this site, attach your evidence, and it’s likely they’ll be banned. Posting here about it does nothing.
HG streak farming exploit, not cheaters.
As I said in another post, Golden Curses has lost all the value since Rare did nothing to punish people who exploited the game on the past Halloween Event.
Mark my words, Rare is not going to take back the curses even though it is obvious that they have broken the game for their own benefit. I hope I'm wrong and swallow my words, but I highly doubt it.
Imagine spending hundreds of hours of your life to get something that another player got in 80-100 using exploits and who the company won't punish.
SoT right now is the Titanic after hitting the Iceberg, it's taking on water from all sides.
Still the best is yet to come, PvP Skull in a game without anticheat, this is going to be interesting, HG and Adventure Mode totally infested by cheaters.

They are talking about removing progress FROM GUILDS, not removing the curses. That means everyone can do a secondary guild to not affect the main one, and abuse the exploit to farm the curses without any kind of important punishment.
What´s the point on that?

It's always a risk. It's always been a risk and will always be a risk, no matter what they did or didn't do in the past.
If at any time they decide that they don't like specific activity they can enforce against it. Doesn't matter if people think it's inconsistent with other decisions/enforcement. They have that power and they have a record of the activity.
Fair play is the only safe way to participate. Anything outside of that is a risk.
Means effort, investing time on the game.
I don´t care about how bad or good players are the ones who get the curses, But I respect them because is a huge amount of time invested and mental effort dealing with Cheaters, runners, etc.
If some players can bypass the most important thing to obtain it, is just nonsense at least for me.

Players get this. The reason people are upset is because players are cheating in order to get the gold curse instead of earning them legitimately.
As for the exploit, once you get your level to 1000 you can buy the gold curse. They most likely bought it before Rare removed their levels and returned them to normal. I would assume that if Rare is removing guild reputation they would also remove player reputation from those who cheated their reputation. I don’t think Rare would remove cosmetics and curses that people bought
