Oof this doesn’t really feel like a patch right? Like we can’t all be happy with how buggy gunplay is now right?
Quickswap patch yikes?
Many people definetely are not, i really hope theyll find a better way to implement it
Legit never been so unmotivated to play even though i was looking forward to a new season so muchBut people on this forum will call you an exploiter and not listen to what you have to say :)
Instead of just fixing a "bug" that made the gameplay fluid, they should have worked on a better solution. Quickswap wasn't hard to learn, but you could screw it up. They should have just made it available to all players and increased the time before you can shoot by 0.2 seconds. I mean, there was already the time in between when you were in the scope but couldn't shoot, so why not just increase that time?
I always thought the Quickswap Shoot Timer was the solution to the early game gunplay without any delay, and it worked as intended - apart from the 0.2 second faster shooting.
@offtherec
This is the consequence when players can't be bothered to learn how to press the ''shift'' key in between switching weapons. (What quickswap really is, or was).
You shot your secondary around 0.4 seconds faster, blaming that for your death is just scapegoat, sure in some situations those miliseconds CAN make the difference, but to mess up the game and annoy half the community because of that, well RARE had it coming...Instead of learning an extra input that takes 2 hours of practice to learn they rather cry about it and bug RARE to remove it, using the ''exploit'' excuse.
Because no other exploit in the game was ever implemented as being the norm before (Sarcasm) such as the sword dash jump.
It's clear to me anyway for a long time, they want to make the game as soft as possible.
The biggest issue right now, is that you have to wait for around 2 seconds before you can ADS sprint and shoot, wich is a very long time and to long. And you can't keep sprinting even if the timer is up, because the hardcoded animation wil still play for that amount of time.
Also the ADS bugs out sometimes too now.
And Hitreg is still ever present.I personaly think the animation timer should be reduced from 2.0 to atleast 1.6/1.7 seconds to bring back some of that smooth gunplay.
Every playstyle should be viable.
@cpt-sockmonster
Yep which means your opponent can munch on food during that time essentially rejecting the damage done in that time span.Coupled that with hitreg, it feels like you are shooting plastic BB.

Or Rare could have simply made it so sprinting wasn’t required to “quick swap” to your secondary and all anyone had to do was press swap and then ads and ads cancels the wield animation.
So please don’t blame it on the people who don’t like exploits in the game because everyone should be able to swap their guns at the same speed no extra steps required.

Yep. They already have a hardcoded 1s minimum before you are able to shoot a second weapon so I'm not sure why they didn't just increase the minimum time to 1.2 or whatever instead of messing with the animations, which appears to have broken more things.
@d3adst1ck I’m feel like it would’ve been an easy fix to just slightly increase the hardcoded timer and match it to whatever they think should be the right timing? All the animation adjustments+ just made it weird and laggy? Feels more bugged and broken imo
