Ahoy mateys. Ye probably have heard a lot of ideas/rumors about The Glorious Sea Dog Tavern. As to make it a new Pirate Legend Tavern or Personal Pirate Hideouts, or New Tavern, etc. This topic is mine idea for such tavern.
Let's say, what if, instead of making it our personal hideout (which sounds kinda cool) make it another place. I mean, what if, The Glorious Sea Dog Tavern would be occupied by new fraction. A fraction, which takes no interest in ruling Sea of Thieves or recieving any type of treasure, or fising or hunting on any type of sea & land creature. A Fraction, which interested in only selling rare and exclusive products under the veil of the night, with only a Crested Moon as it's witness. Gentlemans, Ladies, Pirates, I present to you "Shadows of the Sea".
"Shadows of the Sea" or shortly "Shadows", will be a fraction which will sell rare voyages of the past, which is no longer available for purchase; trinkets and momentos from the previous adventures; titles, cosmetics and stuff from previous seasons; reputation letters for all fractions; taunts and cosmetics, which are no longer available at Pirate Emporium; and last but not least, exclusive cosmetics from the past years.
During the night the tavern will shine with different lights, which visible only from the close distances and the foreign music, which will be heard only when you are at the tavern. Don't bother coming there during day time, the tavern will be closed and look abandoned. It works only at night time, during Waxing Crescent Moon, from 22:00 pm to 02:00 am sharp. Pirates there will have a large amount of goods to purchase, if they not afraid of price:
- For rare voyages, depending on their rarity (from 350 doubloons - 1,000 doubloons/ 70,000 gold - 200,000 gold),
- For trinkets and momentos (from 250 doubloons - 500 doubloons),
- For titles (from 50 doubloons - 150 doubloons/20,000 gold - 50,000 gold),
- For cosmetics and stuff from previous seasons (from 750 doubloons - 999 doubloons),
- For reputation letters for all fractions (Hunter Call - 75 doubloons; Gold Hoarders, Order of Souls, Merchant Alliance, - 100 doubloons; Athena Fortune & Reapers - 125 doubloons, Servants of the Flames & Guardians of Fortune - 150 doubloons),(You can buy them only 10 per time in total),
- For taunts and cometics, which no longer available from Pirate Emporium (from 250 doubloons - 1,000 doubloons),
- For exclusive cosmetics from past years (from 1,500 doubloons/100,000,000 gold as a starting bid).
Now, since we familiar with prices, let's find out a chances of finding such products at this market: - For rare voyages, depending on it's rarity ( 40% - 100%),
- For trinkets and momentos ( 35% - 85 %),
- For titles ( 100%),
- For cosmetics and stuff from previous seasons ( 45% - 75%),
- For reputation letters, from each of group ( Hunter Call (100%); Gold Hoarder (30%), Order of Souls (30%), Merchant Alliance (30%) - 100%; Athena Fortune (10%), Reapers (90%) - from 30% to 50%; Servants of The Flames (50%), Guardians of Fortune (50%) - from 1% to 10%),
- For taunts and cosmetics form Pirate Emporium, which no longer available ( 35% - 70%),
- For Exclusive cosmetics from past years ( 1% - 5%).
As you may have noticed, in brackets next to "exclusive items from the past years" says "from 1,500 doubloons/100,000,000 gold as starting bid". You see, such product is very rare, it's nearly impossible to find them. Therefore such product is only one and to buy it you need to bid your doubloons/gold. How bidding works? Very simple. Pirates who are present at the tavern place the price they are ready and willing to pay for such product, if they have the highest bid, by the 02:00am they will recieve such item. However, if their bid was "outplaced", they will recieve only a half of the money they have bidded. Also, product on the market is shared, which means if someone buys it before you, you won't be able to buy it. Here the total of all products that are available on the market if you will be lucky to have, depends on % of it's aviability: - Rare voyages (10 - 15, only 2 - 3 available per pirate, 5 copies of each in stock),
- Trinkets and momentos ( 1 - 5, only 1 per pirate, 1 copy of each in stock),
- Titles ( 5 - 10, only 1 per pirate, 1 title with 5 -10 copies of it in stock),
- Cosmetics and stuff from previous seasons ( 1 - 3, all can be bought buy one pirate, 3 copies of each in stock),
- Reputation letters ( Hunter Call - 70, Gold Hoarder/Order of Souls/Merchant Alliance - 30, Reapers/Athena Fortune - 5 or 10 (Athena will have 2 - 5), Servants of The Flame/Guardians of Fortune - 10; if you play in the crew of 2 - 4 people, then each level of reputation you buy will count for you and for your crew),
- Taunts and cosmetics from Pirate Emporium ( only 3, one pirate can buy them all, only 2 copy each in stock),
- Exclusive cosmetics from past years ( only 1, only 1 pirate, only 1 copy in stock).
You can buy this products and bid on exclusive one only while you are at the tavern and your ship is decked there. If your ship sunk, you still be able to buy the previous stuff, but you won't be able to bid on exclusive one. However, if you bidded before the ship sunk, then your bid will be saved and if noone "outplace" it, you will recieve your reward. The market will refresh it's products once in a 2 weeks, which means you will have an entire 2 weeks to buy the stuff you want. But, remember, if you bought this stuff before, you won't be able to buy it again, that's includes reputation letters.
P.S. If you are in alliance and you are buying reputation letter, levels of reputation will count for you, your crew and your alliance.
