So, Rare, please explain yourself. On my old ship, "The Oceans Joker", after a major glitch, it got renamed to "Sloop" and I was like "ok, well, let me just get another one, noticed that I needed a legendary ship thingy, got one, got a new ship, named it "The Megalodon", but it AUTOMATICALLY GOT NAMED "SLOOP" and I am NOT about to spend money to rename something because of a glitch!

Submit a ticket and ask politely if you can have your ship's names reviewed. "SLOOP" isn't a glitch. Usually means there was an issue with your ship's name.

Make sure you haven't turned on hiding gamertags/ship names in the settings as this will visually remove the name you have set... if you toggle this off you should then see the correct ship name!

Did you perhaps have another ship with a name that could be said to be crossing the line ? I've read about people having used a banned name, have all their ships renamed to default and not be able to change any of their ships anymore.@lem0n-curry well my brig, i did name it "The Slave Waggon" which was ok then, that might be it. I can not change the names cuz not enough ancient coins but they are still very much customisable.

Yeah, you probably got a name ban. All your ships will now be "Sloop", "Brigantine" and "Galleon". Purchasing the ship rename deed won't work either, since you won't be able to apply a custom name.

Yep, not surprised they removed that name. It seems not being able to be rename other ships is part of the punishment.

I think Rare should allow people to rename their ships after being banned for inappropriate names only after the offending party has gone through sensitivity training and has written an 8-page report about why the name they chose was wrong and how they have learned from the experience.
This allows for individual growth and opening people's eyes to what's going on in the world. If people choose not to undergo the training and writing the report, then they can stick with "Sloop" as their ship name.
@maximusarael020 8 page? You mean to tell me that in this idea, i should type "I was being immature" and stretch that to 8 pages? Yea now, a simple 3 step system could work. First offence, warning. Second offence: Ship names removed. Third offence, permanent ship-name ban.
