Some disclaimers first: I UNDERSTAND that:
1.No one knows Rare's business better than RARE.
2.THE GAME is an awesome masterpiece the way it is and just keeps getting better under the careful craftsmanship of the developers. IMHO
3.The game functions BEST when its a mix of PVE vs PVP. No doubt. You take out the threat of PVP and the game can and will become bland/stale for the vast majority.
Now here's my comment: I love this SOT world and wish I could spend more time in it but I would like to have a private server with all the progression and adventures and EVERYTHING! (don't tune out just yet)
BUT unlike the VAST majority who bring up the private server subject I offer to put my money where my mouth is. I would pay 20 dollars a month for this luxury (or more depending on Rare's economic analysis) or a large lump sum $100.00-$150.00 for a special edition of the game that gives access to private servers with the options to get all the cosmetics for additional cost. I don't mind paying for a boutique version of this game. If its even possible to do.
My thoughts are that not everyone will jump on this and it shouldn't affect the player base that needs sheep to plunder. The sheep (as I have observed) will not buy into this as they are mainly gamepass people. Whereas older players like myself who have a full time job, have ample disposable income can benefit from enjoying the game in a relaxing manner. Existing in this work of art without the bad behavior is something I would pay coin for. When I say bad behavior I understand that its PART of the game. Its just that I need to chill and being in the game really relaxes me but when its time to PVP my anxiety goes up, yeah I win more often than knot (saw that?) but I'm left with a higher than normal blood pressure that wreaks havok on my chill and health.
