Help PVP players find PVP players. Add a checkbox to the menu to search for a server with PVP players and send it to the map where there are already PVP players.

    Why is it so difficult to add a checkmark to the menu that would send you to a server with players who also want to play pvp? (or do something similar to make it easier for players to find pvp)

    My view (PVP player) on the game. After 50 hours of PVP alone, here's what I've come to realize:

    To play a PVP galleon, you have to spend an hour looking for cores, so that there are at least 100 of them for confident participation in PVP.

    While you are collecting these cores, you are often alone on the server. You have to go through the portal to another server, which takes another 15 minutes.

    For a week of playing and 50 hours, we were only automatically transferred 1 time from our server (due to the fact that it is empty) to a new server. You constantly have to change the server yourself and waste time.

    In general, developers don't think much about pvp players. And they create some kind of story companies, add skins. And pvp players have to suffer for a very long time and get tired of the game in order to shoot a little.

    I also heard that many PVP players left the game after the arena closed.

    Ehhhhhh as a triumphant sea dog, i would say no. Adventure is an open world. It seems great with what we have now. Try to find veteran crews. I just sank a very Profesional insider hull and Da sails bone haul bandits crew lol. What if no one is pvping? Would you wanna wait an hour for matchmaking?

    Many people did not leave the game, that is false. They will try to fight veteran crews in adventure. Mixelplx, happyf33tz, pace22, and many streamers never left. Only 10 people that left isn't many.
    Rare very much cares about the pvp players. Why else are cannons there. They are trying to i think, offer pvp through various events. The fotd was added for pvp. You can find crews by server hopping. Reapers bones is for pvp. If they did not think, you would just have to dig chests and sell. And this is not time wasting. So please, justify why you want it and what are the benefits. It will just have 1% playtime.

    @timedsatyr79799 because there is a type of people who want to enter the game and immediately into battle (compete with other players), and not spend an hour every day preparing the ship for PVP and another 30 minutes looking for an opponent.

    There are two parts to this game and requests to segment them basically result in a locked thread because there is nothing to discuss. The developers have already answered this several times.

    @VA1um yes, i also want to be a part of that. Currently, there are private servers which will be released to everyone in a few months i think. Right now, only streamers can access it. You can fight in that. So, i guess it's wise to wait than them spending resources for only 2 crews to play with.

    @d3adst1ck I am a new player, and I did not find answers to my questions, I just know that they removed the arena (they cut out the main PVP mode), I like this game and I would like to play it longer. But due to the fact that I have been looking for rivals for 2 hours, I have no desire to launch this game. Therefore, if there is no arena, let them improve the PVP search.

    @noblesphere156 you press the button that you want to play PVP, and you are selected by servers with the same players who pressed the same button.

    Simply no. This is pirate adventure sand box, not Battle Royale. There are a lot of PvP games to choose from.

    People would just end up not checking "PvP" in just to have an easier time taking loot from people leaning more towards PvE.

    @va1um Similar suggestions have been made before; and as Majman pointed out, they can be manipulated to have the opposite effect of what they're trying to achieve.

    Finding crews to fight in Adventure is actually not that hard, if you're willing to lower your standards to every new crew or solo slooper you come across. Finding a good, fair fight however, can be difficult because of how diverse the playerbase is.

    Arena offered us the closest thing to a fair fight, but as you're aware, that's now gone. There are still communities that host naval battles & TDMs in custom servers offered by some helpful partners and affiliates. If you're interested in getting involved, feel free to DM me and I'll try to pull you in.

    So the server will be full of PvP players but this function will only be useful for the first week/month after people realize...the PvP has become an Alliance server now and everyone works together...Oh wait that a Pve server...

    Yes and no. Pvp is supposed to be the outlier, not the main. I'm not saying pvp isn't valid, but the vast majority of players aren't really interested.

    In before the regulars tell me THEY'RE interested

    I like this idea, but it can be OP or UP without suggestion.

    Firstly, what's a core?

    The reason there isn't a way to artificially choose the type of players we'll find on the server is because, from the developers point of view, the game is designed to be an adventure in to the unknown each time we play. Bumping in to other players is meant to be an occasional occurrence, and we're not supposed to know the intent of, or the type of players we're going to meet.

    Who knows, perhaps Rare will see this post and implement it. I doubt it though as in my view that's just not the intended experience.

    It's the same issue the game has always had with player interaction.

    Some people just don't want to.

    We don't talk about Bruno directing players towards other players while doing the original voyages btw...

    Ahoy!

    The team have semi-recently given their thoughts on the topic of PvPvE and discussed it in an official Podcast here.

    There is also a thread for Custom servers here.

    Sea of Thieves will always be a shared world adventure game, with elements of both PvP and PvE but Joe did speak about Custom Servers about a year ago. These servers will not offer Gold or progression IF they become available to the public. Private Servers are still being tested with our Partners.

    Dropping anchor on this now.
