Since arena closed all kinds of arena sweatlords came at game constantly serverhopping and ruining everyone's experience just because they can't do anything else expept ruining game for all other people who want just calmly play. Since all sweats can't be put in separate "cage for sweats" why everyone should suffer because of those 2% ruiners people? Would be great if there would be ability to create a private sessions (aka Fallout 76 also owned my Microsoft btw) just to play calmly with your friends where you have 100% that you won't meet some full TSD\LSD crew who gonna ruin whole game for everyone at the session. Even if those private sessions won`t have bonuses like Gold Rush, Gold and Glory etc, still would be worth it due you know that you can simply call your crew, go make tall tales, achivements and doesn't care that another full crew of sweats going to ruin everything.

The insider already has this option. Play in private sessions with whoever you want.
Now to say that only the 2% of the players who played the arena are ruining everyone's experience, it looks more like someone who has been sunk and does not know how to deal with it, being that it is absolutely normal that and is part of the game.Deja vu.. Sorry, not gonna happen. Best you can hope for is private servers for chilling and racing etc but no gold or rewards to be had. Tales of Arena sweats terrorizing adventure are hugely exaggerated anyway lol.
@maironds88 i don't mind being sunked and stuff by some reapers for example for a flag, i don't agree with all arena sweats who serverhopping without any flag and sunking everyone because can't do anything else. And you can't really do anything against people who have 4k+ hours and 3 years experience arena sweating.

How do you know, that an arena-hardcore-player sunk you?@timedsatyr79799 any more-or-less average player want this people gone badly, for last week i had 3 times when serverhopping sweats come and owned whole server, because any average\decent player even being in alliance can't do a thing against LSD\TSD 4k+ hour ruiners. Counterquestion why the heck we should meet with consequences of dev's decision of closing arena?
@larrsskirata Private servers have already been announced and have been in testing for some time, but they don't give any progression, they're in theory for events, roleplay, etc.
2% does not refer to the number of players who played arena, but to the total time spent in the arena. Out of every 100 hours only 2 were spent playing arena. I'm sorry to tell you, I played a lot of arena, out of every 20 games, only one crew appeared good enough for a battle, the vast majority were pretty bad.
The tip I give you: You can sink almost any crew you come across just by knowing how to position yourself and fire your cannon. It doesn't need much.
Rare has already announced that private servers are coming. They are currently in testing. However, no gold or progression will be given in these servers.
They will most likely be used by content creators or people who would like to create an arena of their own and have a TDM (Team Death Match) or maybe even be used by the “Capture a Code” competition to create awesome screenshots without other crews interfering.
@LarrsSkirata are you average or less average? Don't tell me that betraying a alliance or fighting one ship versus 2 and coming out victorious is bad. It is a pirate game. Jack sparrow used to steal and sink ships. No hate mate but custom servers are gonna be for events. I'm pretty sure you would wanna 1v1 your friend. It is for that. They won't give a easy mode.

You know why most updates are PvE related? Why so many activities create loot? Because that's needed so PvP people have something to work for and PvE people still get plenty of loot/gold...
You lost a huge haul of loot...welcome to SoT, get over it and go on...like we all did@schwammlgott there's huge difference between "playing the game" and "constantly ruining it for everyone else" espesially when it comes to people whose "game" consist only in mindleslly killing everyone they see, everyone should have some fun, no? Not just "Let's kill everyone" part? And i wouldn't mind it if not again 4k hour crews that you can't ever reason with.

Problem with your idea is that private servers couldn't be allowed to make progress or gain gold. It would be very unfair against everyone else. I bet you have seen it already but this forum is not a good place to bring up any ideas about balancing the PvP. People here have countless hours in the game and if I have learned anything about this game it is that players in it love to punch down. There is literally nothing better than chasing down and sinking players who are lower skill level. They defend PvP and pretend like they want to have fair fights but it has never been about that. They will come and tell you to learn to play and get better. Just check the recent post about red sea. People are furious that there is an option for denying loot. Post was closed cause "experienced" pirates got so salty about it.My tip is to just play any way you feel like and ignore others. If someone is tailing you for over 30 minutes sail into red sea, repair as long as possible and after you die change server. As long as newer or less skilled players are free prey nothing will change.
