Hey i have a question i joined the insider program. I own gamepass for PC and i want to download the insider app.. problem is i did not find it when i searched up ''Sea of Thieves insider'' i also joined the xbox insider to see if i could download it there but it also didn't display there.
How can i download the app? I have tried almost everything and am out of options.. Do i need to buy the game for it to work? i mean i read i don't have to but maybe it fixes it?

You can use the link below to access the Store Page for Insider where you can download it from. As long as you own the full retail version of Sea of Thieves you will be able to take part in the Insider version too!
@musicmee thank you but what about what is said at the forum? If you own gamepass windows 10 you can type it in and download it what about that?
@demi12121 If you have played/do play via GamePass you will be able to access the Insider build. But you will need to continue playing both builds to keep access.

@musicmee i know that but i need the app.. have played sea of thieves for quite a while still do.. only thing is i cannot see the app in the microsoft store and if someone refers me to it i get ''redeem code'' ..

Don’t search for insiders...just for Sea of Thieves...also be aware, that the app-picture looks different...it's all black with white letters saying "Sea of Thieves Insider"
@schwammlgott yo i am helping Demi and i know as well as her that we had to search up ''Sea of Thieves Insider'' with the black background etc. etc... i have insider on my series console i am now trying to help her in trying to figure out how to install the app on a windows 10 device.. let me explain what we did.
She signed up and agreed to the terms, then we searched up how to download the app..
found on the forum of sot that there were different ways if you own or do not own the game or if you have it on steam etc.now we know she has gamepass FOR PC this should mean from what i read that if you own gamepass you should go to the windows store and type in ''sea of thieves insider'' demi and i know how the icon looks and obviously the name too... thing is it doesn't pop up...
i also had an idea she could join Xbox insider hub (she did) and i am an insider to xbox for some years already so i know how to navigate through the app, thing is at my xbox insider hub if you scroll down you see available insiders and in that list was SoT included.. when we tried on demi's account it also didn't pop up. we play sot almost everyday so its not because she is not playing the base game..
now my question is why does it work for me but NOT work for her? for a little more context.. i also have gamepass and can install insider so.. why can't she?
@tonytheassasin afaik through steam it's a bit more complicated, but if you both use it through MS store/gamepass, but can't find it for her, then I have no idea why it's not working...sorry
Did you try to ask support for help?It's a known issue at the moment that you can't search for it. For now, just use the link that Musicmee provided above. If it says "currently not available", make sure to sign in with the same Microsoft account used for Game Pass, and refresh the page. You should get an option to install then. Clicking that will redirect you to the Microsoft Store page where you can download the Insider build.
