Constantly Experiencing Unplayable Lag, but only on this game (and only while the window is in focus)

    This is an incredibly odd thing that I have yet to be able to figure out. I've updated all of my drivers and everything. When I launch the game, it has an unplayable stutter, interspersed with moments of regular fps, (somewhere around one or two fps, if that), but if I press my Windows key to bring up the overlay, the stuttering completely disappears for as long as the window remains behind the overlay. This has only been happening as of around a month ago and Ive gone through multiple driver updates and reinstalled the game. I have the game on the Microsoft Store (on PC), and I'm at my wits end, I just want to play this game with my buddies, but it's getting incredibly hard to put up with this.

    Please help me.

    GPU: NVIDIA EVGA RTX 2070 Super
    CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz
    RAM: 16 GB
    OS: Windows 10

    @thisisbobross I’ve had this issue before, it was a problem with my Nvdia overlay (ALT+Z), I had to turn off Instant Replay. Have you tried to do a clean install of the Nvidia drivers?

    @atherza Oh my god. The solution was actually as simple as turning off NVIDIA Instant Replay. I feel pretty dang stupid now, but thank you so much for the help! Hopefully this will provide some documentation for other people with this problem in the future. (I refuse to become one of those people that solves a problem after posting about it on a forum and just saying "Nevermind, solved it" and disappearing into the Aether)

    @thisisbobross Hopefully the issue with having replay on does get solved, as it can be useful to have on though. Fingers crossed anyway
