Sea Dog Server

    i posted this as a response on another post but the more i think about it i think this is a great idea…thoughts?

    why not just have a seadog server? you can access seadog tavern and pick up voyages that relate to sinking ships/killing pirates/stealing loot. everyone on server would be under seadog emissary and that way you can rank up effeciently and wouldnt need to grab a flag. also at the tavern you can buy any supplies you want (any food, any cannon ball type, and all you want). make it an all out war with plenty of stuff to go around…u can also split the server into 3 different ones depending on which type of boat you want…sea dog tavern area would also be protected so nobody can just come and sink you. u could have voyages where you have to sink a ship without boarding, etc. i think something like this would entice alot of people

    what would probably work is different spawn points with a tavern to space things out

    Yeah, they could have one where the pirates have to go after a chest at the same time. Wait a minute, this is what Arena is...

    This is exactly like Arena.

    Except there isn't a Brigantine Arena ...

    @lem0n-curry True, but given the reluctance to add Brigantine Arena I don't see a lot of hope for a near-copycat mode to be added ;)

    I do think some "experimental" server modes could be cool though. For example have a mode where everyone is revealed on the map, another where the red sea is constantly moving inwards (with perma death/sink).

    Any dev time spent carrying sea dogs over to adventure would be much better placed fixing/improving the viability of arena imo

    @lem0n-curry I feel like they would add brig Arena before making an entire new gamemode that is basically Arena but more complicated

    You cant ask for pve servers in the forums, so you ask for PVP servers in hopes that all the people that want to pvp go for that.
    I got news for you: i want to sink everyone in this game, and that includes also the people that dont want pvp, and im not the only one so... you still get sunk...your loot will get stolen.

    Adventure is an excellent place to hunt for people that have many riches & treasures. Arena is not the place to steal loot, but rather to practice you're PvP skills good sir.

    Very true, but if you really read his reply to Mad Frito99's post, he's not THAT interested in someone's loot. And since Arena does have both loot and other players with his view on his interactions with other pirates, It sounds like arena would suit his playstyle better than Adventure.
