I have been experiencing an increased amount of latency while playing Sea of Thieves. While playing, I get ping spikes that cause me to reposition and sometimes get booted off the boat, off a cliff, exit a barrel menu, etc.
I've been trying to troubleshoot my network, even going as far to reset it entirely, but that didn't seem to work. There hasn't been a lot of traffic anyways since it was just my family watching TV downstairs, and I'm used to running SoT without interference while everyone else in my house is using some sort of device while on the internet.
I also tried running Wireshark (a packet scanner for those that don't know) to see if I was having any trouble connecting to Rare's server but it seemed to be stable while looking at the graphs. Nothing else suspicious was coming in, so I don't think I was being DOSsed (though it's possible, I'm no expert with Wireshark).
Has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be? It's really starting to bug me that every 10 seconds I just teleport some random place I used to be. This has caused me to lose more encounters with players than I usually do.
Edit: while looking at the graph, I noticed that there were certain periods where there were an increased number of TCP errors. I linked an image to show an example (the boxes in read are the errors). Could that be it? I'm no expert so I don't fully understand. I just know that TCP generally takes more time to "load."
