So for a while now sometimes when I join a new server I noticed that my sensitivity starts to feel way different than what I had set my sensitivity to. It was like my sensitivity was changing on its own even though I never touched it. I was the only one that noticed this though and none of my friends said they noticed it so I thought maybe I was just going crazy. It was until today after almost a year of noticing this, I confirmed my suspicions of the sensitivity in this game being broken. Today I decided to change my dpi from 400 to 800. Now on 400 dpi I play on 1.8 sensitivity and all of my gun sensitivities are on 10.0. So when I calculate my edpi, it comes out at 720(7,200 for my guns). So that means that if I switch to 800 dpi then I should have my sensitivity on .9 to match my old sensitivity right? Wrong, somehow it's when I change my sensitivity to 1.1 on 800 dpi that it matches my sensitivity on 1.8 sensitivity and 400 dpi even though my new edpi is 880(8,800 for my guns). But it doesn't stop there, even though my new edpi for my guns is 8,800 and before it was 7,200. Somehow my gun sensitivities are slower than they were before. This is me doing one full swipe across my mousepad showing that on a lower edpi my sniper sensitivity is somehow faster. The sensitivity isn't way off but it is indeed slower on a higher edpi when it should be faster. Now I know that this game isn't perfect and there is no such thing as a perfect game but I have never experienced something like this in any fps game I have ever played. To me it's already bad enough that the sensitivity in this game isn't 1:1 but this is the cherry on top. Now call my picky if you want and that it doesn't matter, but to me it matters because it's impossible to build muscle memory and get better at aiming in this game when the sensitivity doesn't work as intended.
