Gold striped pig bug

I had an issue yesterday when doing Merchant Alliance quests. I was tasked to find gold striped pigs, but all of the gold striped pigs I came across appeared as normal pink pigs (not the spotted variant). It happened on every voyage I did that day involving gold striped pigs on multiple islands. Their name when I had the cage over them to hold the trigger for capture still said “gold striped pig”, only the appearance changed, and I was still able to hand them into the Merchants. I was also in The Wilds. I’m not sure if the lighting changes in The Wilds would have had an effect on the pigs appearance.
