Not something you can carry around and fire but cannon you can build on an island as a surprise for passing ships. To prevent OP have the following features.

Each server only spawns 3 to 4 of these cannons at random forts so They are not super common.

To set up a cannon you have to first build a foundation (taking 5 wood) to hold the cannon. This can just be a box that you fill up with rocks by digging up the soil. Then set the cannon on it. You can't build the base at an outpost, trading post or on any type of ship/boat.

After 10 shots the cannon breaks has a chance of breaking and a new one spawns at another fort.
This would open up smaller crews to set traps for larger ships at new locations.
