Able to locate the last location of a Fort of Fortune on map using the key...

    So, I wasted like 40 minutes trying to find this old Fort of Fortune location and gave up... Basically, me and my friend sunk a ship hoarding the key to the last one on the server, and so we started searching around nearby Forts and found nothing, then went around the whole server and still found nothing... Gave up after like 7 forts (didn't want to sail all the way back East to check the Fort in the Ashen region and we were sure it couldn't be a southern fort).

    Unless, the Fort of Fortune loot can despawn if players leave the area...?

    Anyways, if the player is holding the key then using the map, it would mark the fort it originated from... Is that possible Rare?

    If you checked 7 forts, then you have either stopped before the ONE or the loot despawned. Pretty sure it does after some time. Could be that the key holders were also merged into another server. Not particularly sure how this plays out, but I can imagine the loot is also lost in this situation.

    Not a server merged and it wasn't that long after the Fort of Fortune on the server was completed, we just accidentally ran into the two Sloops fighting over the key while messing around with a bug, and due to their hostility, we had to fight back sadly while having a bugged pirate. Didn't want to.

    If the loot did despawn though... Oh well, not a big deal. We weren't aiming for it either way. Just wish there was an easier method of figuring out which Fort that the key came from.

    Ultimate move is to wait until the next FoF spawns, open the vault and grab all the loot and leave. Whoever gets there will get a surprise

    @jusey1z No, the people you took the key from could have merged out of the server with the loot
