Poor performance with AMD 6800XT when on land. The card seems to be throttled.

    I've noticed that I'm getting poor frame rates especially on land.
    I have added a screen shot of Thieve's Haven and you can see Im getting 52FPS but the GPU is running at half of its potential speed.

    I have removed all frame limits, ie vsync etc but it does nothing.
    No other game does this and maxing out games like Forza Horizon 4 and Gears 5 the GPU runs at 100% and at max MHz and in those games I get average fps over 100.

    Is anyone else getting similar issues? Anyone with an AMD card, particularly the 6000 series?

    I have been told to log a ticket with support but their copy and paste answer of install the latest drivers was useless.

    Just got my 6800XT and noticed the same issue. I believe it has to do with the unreal engine. You can improve your performance by going to the Radeon controls and enable GPU Tuning. Then raise the minimum clock speed so it cant downclock. This has improved my performance in all my games. Hope it helps you out too.

    @stroro AMD GPUOpen can cause issues with processor affinity and GPU leveraging. You may want to see if the game is using logical processors or physical cores; sounds like your hardware is being throttled.

    I tried this and it doesn't seem to make things any better.

    It looks like it is using both logical and physical but probably favouring logical.

    You'd think it would be a priority to work better on AMD hardware considering its a Xbox platform exclusive and the console is AMD hardware.

    I'm also getting really bad performance but with a 6900xt. Most of the time my 1080ti was better. Ihave no problems in other games. Did you find any solution?
