Fate of the Damned Event

    Yesterday night, I finally became a Pirate Legend and just 2 simple goals remained to complete for acquiring the Soulflame Crew Set. Therefore, I planned to complete last 2 goals today because it is stated that in the Events Hub "Fate of the Damned is available until 9th December 23:59UTC. However, suddenly, today an update came and the Fate of the Damned event is closed. Now I can't complete the challanges and get my reward. I need to complete Fort of the Damned 25 TIMES in order to earn it.

    It is not my fault to trust RARE about the information given in their site. It is your fault to misinform your players and weaken their trust.
    Please do something about that issue. I suggest extending the events duration 1 more day.

    So the new requirement for the costumes is 25 FotD clears? Had a sneaking suspicion they were going to do that.

    Yes unfortunately. You need to earn vanquishing the damned commendation to unlock the soulflame crew set.

    @neithan2141 I was fortunate enough to get the costumes during the event. However, I did want to know what they’d do for the non-legends. It’s a decent way to do it, and definitely rewards the players who got it with a far easier time. I think I’m only at 15 FotD clears, and 25 seems like a distant milestone.

    Well that image clearly shows the time they said, idk if that was an earlier image or anything but it certainly looks like people got short changed on the available time. Rare should at least apologize for the miscommunication if this is indeed what has happened

    @arctroopachedda @NeithaN2141 Seriously! 25 FotDs? If you get a well-seasoned crew and a very passive server, you might be able to knock out 4 or 5 of those in a session... passive servers don't come around often, though haha. Really glad I finished those challenges now.

    I could have sworn I was right when I checked the time available yesterday... Two of my friends still need to get some of the Shadows killed, so I was going to prepare a ship to start a FotD later today before it was supposed to end... So thanks for that Rare :/

    @erymdor Completing the Fort of the Damned is not very hard. The thing is holding the treasure that you earned from the fort. But that is not the case here.

    I hope they care their players on that problem.

    An extra annoyance is that unlike most event voyages you can bank, these don't work anymore.. You can put them down and start them, but you won't get the next step.. (We went to Morrows peak and picked up the map, but nothing showed up)

    @jaegerdelt It's pretty much what happened. I was going to run a few of my friends through the final tasks over two days (Tuesday and Wednesday), because everything said that it would end 23:59 on 12/9. But when my friend went in to check what tasks he still needed about 3 hours in on Tuesday, he saw that he had 8 hours or so left to do them. Which meant we had to do an 11-hour session to get everything done, including disruptions by other players.

    Never before has the game felt more like a chore than it did in that time.

    Wow. That sounds a lot easier than the event requirements. Feel like I wasted time when this was a choice.

    If I need FotD completions, I just bargain with other crews. I do the work (for the completion) and they get to keep the loot. Easy!

    Sea of Thieves customer service do not care us , They just do whatever they want to do . This is their fault , but as you see they do nothing to solve this problem or satisfy the community
