Can I play with steam users if I own the game through Microsoft Store?

    I was wondering if this is possible and, if so, how? Whenever I go to invite people it always asks me to invite my xbox friends and there are no options for me to invite steam profiles

    I play with a couple of friends who have SoT on Steam. From what I understand, they had to install the XBox app on their computer, and then I was able to invite them, and they were able to invite me.

    Yes, it's possible. The Steam version still uses your Microsoft account to log in. I often use Steam on PC while my crewmates use the Microsoft version. We use Xbox party chat via the Xbox overlay on both platforms.
