Just a little appreciation post here, hopefully some devs get to see this. I haven't played SOT in a few months due to the last update for whatever reason i was only getting 56-84fps in game with everything on rare with a i9 and a 2080ti. this new update my game is running the most smooth it has ever ran since iv been playing the game on PC! 300+fps, my game barley hitches now which is great! whatever you guys did on the PC side please leave it as is!! My game runs better than it ever has!

@ppwnagee Chances are, your drivers may be glitching and accidentally failing to load a particularly demanding game feature, which allows the game to run smoother than ever before.
Happened to me before, mark my words, when your driver stops having that malfunction due to an update to either the driver or the game itself, you'll get the same old FPS you had before again. xD
I have an i9-7900x cpu and RTX 2080 Ti OC, my fps dips as low as 60 on the biggest island in the game, the shores of gold, but on average hangs around 80-90 on regular islands... When i'm in the middle of the sea with no islands though, i have 144+ (maxed at 144 due to vertical sync to a 1440p 144 Hz monitor.)...
There was a period, a patch a while back, where my game had 144 FPS at all times, that ended when the game updated again, causing the game and graphics driver to start cooperating properly again. ;_;
