Ocean crawler or skeleton ship raid random event

This would be a random event like a kraken or megalodon

Like what happens when barnacled dread attacks but with a ship instead of a meg?

I love the idea but at the same time, I feel like this would be another thing that could be used to exploit lesser skilled players.

@potatosord Yes and here's why... a lesser skilled player will focus on the mobs boarding his ship not paying attention to any PvP players who come in looking to exploit that players lack of focus on what's going on outside of the event. They come in, sink that players boat, that player loses any loot and supplies and has to start back from the beginning. the only way this sort of thing would even remotely make it fair is if it's an area of effort to where any ships that try to engage will deal with the same effect of being boarded by skeletons/ocean crawlers.

@loneshadow29 This seems like an issue that applies across all world events... I don't see how this in particular would be worse for being attacked during.

@potatosord but the big difference with megalodons, krakens, and skeleton ships is the fact that they generally attack a single target and usually stick to the one that initiated the event. At least with what I described, if the attacking ship gets close enough to the area of effect, they would start to be board by skeletons/ocean crawlers. it would dissuade players from taking advantage of that type of event.

@loneshadow29 Ignoring that skeleton fleets and krakens spawn more than one boat/set of tentacles, and that ghost fleets exist, you almost have a point. As well, the ancient megs affect all the boats in their area with their special effects. These features already exist in ways and do not make it easier/worse for boarding players

Shipwreck. Covered in thick foam that causes ship to be slow. Once you drop anchor, the even begins

If you leave event ends and disappears.
Waves of OC spawn and board ship depending on ship size. Galleons get the big guys :)

After event. Foam disappears and reveals a ship below the waves. (If you fall into water during event. It’s empty and full of sharks. Much like Kraken black ink)

Bingo. And this will be an important lesson for them in order to learn, would it not? Not just in this instance, but everywhere else in the game also.
