Even of loading in on a session that does xbox controller only pc players are starting games with xbox only prefrences and still able to pull pc players into the games. This is an exploit being abused openly admitted might I add on the forums

@bloodybil No doubt on that, once one starts it, and he starts a lot, they all fall on it. Though a PC/XBox mixed crew would likely play on crossplay enabled preferences.

The idea of crossplay being unbalanced is that the input, being the controller or the M&K, is the issue. A PC player with a controller is equal to an XBox player with a controller, just as an XBox player with a M&K is equal to a PC player with a M&K. They are also both equal already, but some people just need to see that to believe it. It's a soft opt-out, should the game not manage to fill it will warn you of PC players being allowed to join, and you can leave in a fit of rage or whatever when it does. It likely won't anyways, as there are many more XBox players out there and many will have crossplay enabled, as all of the ones who know what's going on will keep it and those who don't care will leave it as the default setting.
