Surfing Pirates 🌊🏄

@astralnautical I hope you're joking. But even even if it was appropriate how would you code the whole sailing mechanics for this? It's a different type of sail not to mention going about is really hard on a surf board, you have to step past the sail move it over to the other side and not fall off. Coding that in game would be so much work for a novelty.

They'd have to spend a bunch of time fixing wave physics. Waves break at 1/2 of wave height to depths. (A 4ft wave would start to break in 2ft of water) approximately. Or just randomly generate surf lol. There's not a lot of spots that would break because of the shoreline 🤷🏽‍♀️ Could be useful for getting to shore, swimming or rowing (wouldn't need a surfboard...) could get you a little boost towards shore, make it slower going out as a balance. obvs wouldn't wanna try that with rum bottle crates or cloth crates due to damage.

Could also be used for harpoon skiing if we get surfboards. Could also wakeboard behind ships!

Love the idea of a Pirate Surf Faction, but SoT has no surf. It's like Florida.
Not even boat wakes.

I would much rather see a windsurfer or sailboard.
Or even a kiteboard, or hang glider.

Like items on your equipment wheel.

Not a very pirate-ey feel though.
