Inventory

  • Hello,

I’ve been playing SoT since it’s release and just joined the insider program. I really enjoy this game and am happy to be a part of it in a little way. Anyway, I know it’s probably a pretty common topic but I think being able to carry more food/planks would be a huge improvement to the game. As someone who does a lot of solo voyages because very few of my friends play this it’s hard fighting skeletons by yourself on islands and at forts. Having more food would make it easier. I like doing smelly fleets as well but again it’s hard solo because you can’t carry many supplies. I think 10 cannon balls and 10 cursed is fine but I would love to see an upgrade to food/plank inventory.

No, the food is balanced. Any more and combat would take way too long.

  • @blazedrake100 not if you do a skull fort. If there are more than 2 skeletons with guns your health drops real quick.

  • @ramzay-08 Nope things are fine as they are now. It's as @BlazeDrake100 says, more food = combat will take forever since people can just chomp 20 Pinapple bites.
more planks = Ships just won't sink.

You bring up forts, but you do realise that generally speaking forts aren't solo'ed and there are more people there who can take the shots/ kill the skeletons etc.
You shouldn't just take into account your situation as a solo slooper but also people who are on a galleon or brig.
Sure it's an assumption that you're solo but why else would skeletons at a fort still pose a problem with only 5 food items?

  • Kill some chickens/pigs/snakes or catch some fish and cook them. Fill your secondary "reserve health" (or as my crew insists on calling it "the over shield" - they've played too much Halo, I think). Try not to die and hide for a few seconds to have it start healing you.

Be more discriminate about which fruit you carry too. Bananas are pretty pointless now (I usually leave them in barrels when I'm stocking up), coconuts are marginally better, but you really want pomegranates, mango, and pineapples.
