When the anniversary update released I was eager to try everything new. But I have one problem. I don't have a clue how to catch a fish and every time one bites on my rod I do everything to try and reel it in but my line snaps every single time. Does anyone have a decent fishing strategy?

@saucyseadog22 I had the same problem as you when I started fishing. What you have to do is to wait for the fish to bite, then it will go as far away as possible. This is when it will go to either left or right and when you will have to move your joystick (for xbox, I'm not sure how it works on PC) in the opposite direction. If the fish goes left, you go right. If it goes right, you go left. If it looks like its in the middle, then its going away, you have to pull it towards you. While your doing this, do not press right trigger or left click or left trigger, just move the joystick as pressing one of these can easily break the line. Once the fish stops moving, however, this means that it is tired, thats when you reel it in with right trigger/left click and you only reel it in until the fish starts up again and then you use the joystick again. Eventually you will pull the fish all the way in and it will be on the end of your line. Also, it gives you more money/rep if you cook it.
Also, If I were you, I would look into the hunters call faction option to view what different fish need certain types of baits and where they're found.
