I feel like the arena could use a 1v1 or galleon vs galleon mode. The standard arena right just feels like a race for who can get all the loot the fastest and the combat is there, but doesn't feel as exciting when everyone is just running around collecting loot instead of fighting. Some ships can even avoid combat the whole game while all the other ships are fighting, and they will take the victory even though they didn't fire any cannons at all. Just feel like a 1v1 mode would be more fun imo.
Arena Galleon vs Galleon mode?
@not-rattus It would be a very predictable mode.
Current arena to me is open to various styles of play. You can strategise to go after certain ships, or ambush them with only your crew at the delivery points.There is more to think about, and Galleon v Galleon (1v1) is something that is happening constantly in Arena. Just with more important factors in mind.
There's nothing stopping your crew just going round sinking everyone. It may mean not finishing first every time but if you'd rather just fight then does finishing first matter that much.
Also it adds a little bit of strategy as you not only have to collect the chests you have to keep an eye on those collecting chests and engage the right ships
