I think this game needs a "prestige" system so it wont feel so wasted doing normal voyages or events! I made an easy consept on how it could look!
- So every time I do a fort or just do voyages I really miss just seeing that I actually gain something other than money! I dont need any new promotions or cosmetics, I just want to have something to look at that shows off all the work I have put into it. So I believe this would be a nice and easy addition to the endgame of Sea Of Thieves to make it more interesting and feel more worth it when doing stuff.
@nunoazuldimeter Haha exactly where the idea comes from :D But it is needed in my opinion to let pirate legends still have interest in doing normal voyages and events
@chronodusk The point is that it feels useless to sell chest when your level 50 if you dont care about gold. I want something to grind for and this would help so much for me atleast with so little change. Seeing that you actually gain something more than gold after doing stuff is so much more satisfying than only getting gold
@littleliee Prestige system is needed and a new set of cosmetics should accompany the new level of prestige!
@geekster-t I dont know about using rep as a currency is something they would do but maybe the merchants could give you those more exotic items you where talking about every 25 level or so after hitting Pirate legend so when you start over again from 1 you will get one item at level 25 and another at 50 and then the same when you restart your levels again.
@cstrap Well if i remember correctly Rare had a vision that they wanted this game to be something that would last for years and years (like Gta 5 basicly) so for completionist i dont think this is the right game because new things will be added hopefully for a long time :D
@unfadingshimmy I like to think at it as more of a placeholder for the people that can get there because this game needs more tham 10 athena levels to keep people playing. I just want more to grind for and a better reason to do the different voyages. Now the only thing i get for doing voyages is gold and a little bit closer to getting a commendation but i dont think most people would do so much only for that. I think we need more to gain from it
@unfadingshimmy Its seems people dont get this. Grinding for commendations is not the same as grinding for levels and also i dont get why people think this will change so much in the game. The idea is literally to give players who want it, a little number in the corner of your reputations that says how many times you have hit level 50 and the possibility to reset that 50 counter back to 1 without loosing anything and not having to reset your character
@littleliee So this would be something that only you could see? Like a Paragon system (like in Diablo 3)?

@theunknownd no way! They've recorded every piece of treasure I've ever turned in. They could give credit for what's been turned in since hitting 50.
I really hope so.
Let's pray that when they release prestige's we will not start at level 1 ^-^@unfadingshimmy yeah im think8ng its just the same as it has been now. Just resetting the reputation wheel and give a smaller indication somewhere that you have reached level 50 so many times
@bloodybil its that little excitement when turning in loot i am looking for. And i agree if we could have some special rewards every time you hit level 50. I would prefer getting some exotic cosmetics every time you hit 50 but just a decent amount of gold would be okay. I mainly only want to have a prestige system that makes me feel like i actually come closer to something even tho im not in a need for something specific
@littleliee Yeah being able to convert extra rep into something would be great instead of having it go down the drain, I mentioned gold because that would be easily repeatable, maybe a cosmetic for the first time you refill on all 3 reps?

That being said, I am not against this idea either.
.@bloodybil as i said in another reply i think it would be cool to have like maybe a cosmetic at level 25 and level 50 in each reputation. Kinda the same like when we got an upgrade for eaxch item from the merchant every 5 level
@zormis but its not so satisfying just having numbers going up, i just loved that satisfying feeling of seeing my levels get closer and closer to the next level
