What if when fog and a storm inter-collided, it summoned Cthulhu?
That would be b@da$$, Cthulhu appearing in the midst of fog and storm; nice.

No. It's not that kind of game.
"It's not that kind of game."
What the hell does that even mean?
Karen is the Cousine of ones brother of brothers in law of one of cthullus daughters.
Tbh. I dont want Cthullu in SoT.
1st Cthullu is another genre and a unique entity that shouldnt be beaten 3 times in a row, and cannot be afaik.
Second, SoT is a brand a thing for itself and need to create it's own stories and entities
Third i dont know for sure, but could be difficult about rights.

He could mean that the genre which Cthulhu belongs to, and is most often featured in, isn't compatible with Sea of Thieves' genre. Or that it just thematically wouldn't be a good match.
I'm inclined to agree, as a Lovecraft fan. Cthulhu's an amazing literary creation, and sadly very underutilized in popular media these days. I don't think he should just be added to SoT of thieves 'cause it'd be kinda cool.
@Stundorn is right, Sea of Thieves should work on its own unique lore and mythology, inventing new monsters of their own that fit perfectly with the world we have now.
Also, @Stundorn I'm pretty sure almost all of Lovecraft's work is in the public domain. Certain names and titles might be copyrighted, by individual monsters shouldn't be trademarked, copyrighted or anything else at this point.
@tundra-793 Yea they had cthulhu in south park a few times so I don't think there would be any legal issues
