So we all have our little habits, and I'd love to hear them.
Mine is to donate all my resources to another ship before i log off. It has become my very own in game tradition.
@laughsmaniacaly
I drink a tankard of grog and play a drunken shanty every time I find myself on the Ferry. But why is this on Feedback+Suggestions?

@glannigan again, if it is an open crew, the 'stuff' belongs to the crew, not you.
I play 99% random crew and always respect the agenda of whatever crew I join.
Maybe it’s just cause I’m old and old fashion...
Maybe I should be millennial and if they are doing something I don’t like...like Merchant Quests I’ll just kill all their chickens and throw them overboard.
I mean...I joined the crew their my chickens.
I like leaving a single foul skull behind at the end of a skeleton fort raid, especially if there's other crews around. People can take it how they want, whether that's a "[mod edited] you" or a "Thank you" I couldn't care less; it's my tradition and I'm willing to uphold it until I see a reason not to.
@laughsmaniacaly We usually have two traditions.
1/. Capture a golden chicken mascot (name it Charlie, charles or chuckles) for good luck.
At the end of the game just leave it in the tavern for the next player(s). Never sell Chucky.
2/. End the gaming session with a round of "shark roulette".
Sail away from the outpost, climb into the crow's nest and take a seat on the railing.
Scuttle your ship but remain seated at all times. This prevents drowning and provides an underwater view of approaching sharks and each other.
The last one taken by a shark wins. :o)
@glannigan if you want to be that sort of person, then sure...fill your boots but you are depriving yourself and others of the rep and Gold in both instances.
If you want to keep control of you disco ship, keep a closed crew.
@spunkus-skunkus I have moderated your post as it goes against the Forum Rules.

@cardshark-360 Hmmm, I thought that using a swear in a non-demeaning manner and censoring it with an asterisk would be acceptable; anyways thanks for the heads up :)
This little tradition goes all the way to the Tech Alpha tests...
During each session, at sunset I'll sail the ship through one of the several rock arches while playing "Becalmed" (the slow shanty) on the hurdy gurdy at least once.

Ha! I do the same thing, but with a chest.
My logout ritual with my first mate:
Take a chest or skull to the tavern at whatever Outpost we are at. Skulls go on the bar, chests go under the stairs.
Take our captain, always a golden chicken, to the tavern and place on a table so another crew can take him on adventures.
Slam a series of at least 3 tankards of Grog to get a nice stumble and vomit going.
Drunkenly return to the ship and vote to Scuttle while we play it a farewell tune.
Play drunk until we sober up and play good again.
Chat for a bit and logoff.
Tis our grand tradition!

@admiral-rrrsole Gotta sail with a lucky chicken 😂
Oh hell yeah. Anything else is clucking frazy. :o)
Had a little bit of fun earlier tonight, my first mate and I decided that we were going to modify our tradition just a little bit.
We went ahead and took a Captain's Chest and tucked it under the stairs in the tavern on Sanctuary Outpost. We picked up our Captain Chicken and tossed him on the bar facing towards the door to watch for people coming in. Hopefully he found a cool crew eventually, but I suspect it may have taken some time.
To make the situation more interesting, we had a load of Gun Powder Barrels we had acquired over our journey tonight. We went to work, placing 2 of them by every merchant on the outpost, 2 of them out on the docks, and just for fun we placed one on top of every campfire on the island. Of course this made the outpost look like it was ripe for an ambush situation. I've seen many crews deterred by the sight of Gun Powder Barrels exposed on outposts.
Of course, whomever decides to buck up and head for the port anyways will find themselves a fair bit richer for the experience. If someone here on the forums happened upon this and grabbed it all up I'd love to hear about it of course, but I suspect I'll never really know what all played out with this little setup.
See you on the seas...
