Im at Work for more than 7 h from now, can me please some1 tell what I can expect from this Event? Yeah I know „Gunpowder Skellys“ yeah... and now?? What can I do, what they’re doing? What are the Missions? I can’t imagine nothing, help me please, I’m so excited and hyped but I don’t know for what specially :D
Gunpowder Skellys
Commendations will want you doing more than just killing X amount of keg skeles I'm sure.
They'll want you to get creative. I'm at work so can't really check what they are yet.
but from the sounds of it the weapons and everything are pretty cool as well.
My game should already be updated and good to go when I get home though. I let it run as I left today
Kill 3 regular skeletons by shooting a keg skeleton x 3
Kill 3 regular skeletons by shooting a keg skeleton x 10
Kill 3 plant skeletons by shooting a keg skeleton x 3
Kill 3 plant skeletons by shooting a keg skeleton x 10
etc for others
Chainshot keg skeletons x 3the toughest one is kill at least 5 skeletons by shooting a keg skeleton on an active fort while at least 1 member of another crew is on the island.
Legendary commendations are for the same as above but x50 or x20 in the case of the fort.

Looks like it's completely random. So have fun doing that, I just used my doubloons from last time to buy the items and will not endure this random grind. These are commendations that should be in the game forever and not for two weeks.

Or ask nicely if ye can blow up some skeletons on their active fort. I'm sure that will do down well :)
I wonder if each detonation counts for the whole crew, or just yerself... if it be only the one who fires the shot then it would seem that this event encourages solo play o'er crews.
Maybe that be why we can lock our ship to strict solo play now...

That sounds like pure grinding tbh. Plant skeletons hopefully have a changed spawning to make this possible at all.
@sirliborius It be more than just plants, I wrote etc. for others but metal an' shadow have the same challenges.
Not sure if this means non-island skeletons now spawn randomly or if ye need to be on an Order o' Souls voyage to get them... guess time will tell on that one.
An' aye, it be a bit grindy but if it just be somet'ing ye can do while doin' other quests... spices it up a little. Exotic spice of course.
@x1-two Will the commendations remain like the throne commendations are?

Luckily i have some change left from the last event to buy some new weapons. :-D@xcalypt0x dunno :) I just jumped on to see what the challenges be, I've not actually played any o' it yet. Best guess would be fort hopping so ye can try an' pick up the ones that require another crew too.

@callmebackdraft @X1-Two hmmmm. I need you both to collect more data so that I know the best way to proceed with this lol.
It's looking like strongholds will be faster though.
@xcalypt0x the data is quite simple, everytime a skelly spawns it has a chance to spawn with a gp barrel this counts for ambient spawns and OoS/skullfort wave spawns.
@callmebackdraft Yeah but how do we know the rate is uniform across skeleton types and spawn types (ambient/voyages/fort)?

@xcalypt0x that is true, i can only say i saw the following spawn on an athenas:
- 10 or so ambient gp skellys
- 2 or 3 bandana gp skellys
- 2 gold gp skellys
I had one wave of ghosts, 1 wave of metals and 2 waves of bandanas
I was force spawning the ambients by running around a bit to get some commendations done (i only needed 20 doubloons to get the complete set of weapons as i have saved up 40 from the previous event)

Was that for the entire voyage? Not bad actually. I forgot Athena's might be a good strategy as well. Interested to see how frequently they spawn on forts!
@xcalypt0x on a single island, just did one of the OoS bountys out of the athenas voyage to get 20 (actually received 25) doubloons to get the weapons quickly

WOW! That's actually really good then. Definitely a viable way to try and do this event IMO.
@callmebackdraft okay so new players can still get the Commendations for Thrones Event? And what’s with the Titles, they were Event-Exclusive or they’re staying Ingame too?
@king-deka as far as i know everything except the doubloons and the cosmetics can still be earned trough the thrones.
