  • First death was you not being aware of your surroundings. The second death, you tried to block a close-up blunderbuss shot with your sword. I'm sorry, the PVP can be unforgiving and very harsh at times. But hey, that's what makes this game fun in my opinion.

    Acceptable?

    Acceptable. 😛

  • That range with a blunder kills????

  • 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  • Blunderbuss working as intended.

  • @emanuel-wynnn First kill I agree with, I was firing canons and was hell bent on getting as many hits as possible and didn't care for my own safety!!! Second kill after respawn was horse rubbish! The other player wasn't even facing me. Besides I've never had a one shot kill with a blunder even at point blank range so somethings fishy and it's not my trousers.

On his screen, he probably hit you point-blank in the center of your body. On your screen on the other hand, you were going to the right. This happened so fast, that the server thought your position were still in the middle of his crosshair per-say and not what were shown on your screen, in short the server didn't get to update and confirm your position fast enough, even though on your screen (the client) you had already stepped a bit to the right. It's called latency and a low tick and theres nothing fishy going on.

  • @emanuel-wynnn Which is why I said it needs looking at.

  • @veisenberg

You can't fix these kind of things? Atleast not yet. It's a limitation of our current tech, network coding and latency between machines.

Even in Counter Strike: Global Offensive on a 128 tick server, this still happens.... ALOT.

My suggestion to you is, try and react a bit faster - and use the correct weapons in the right situations. Yes these kind of things will happen from time to time and it's frustrating, but you just gotta deal with it.

  • @veisenberg @Emanuel-Wynnn

There's a good series of articles on the Rare Ltd website which talks about software optimisation as well as latency, they're a technical read but interesting and something they're always working to improve on -

  • @katttruewalker

    A good read. Much appreciated!

  • @katttruewalker Good read, thank you.
