Sunken ship respawns Feedback

  • First the story of how this BAD RESPAWN SYSTEM grogged me over 2 times(already)

    me and my random sloop mate where taking on a skull fort
    around 4 waves in, a galleon approached of course they don not want to share the booty so they attack we attack back and sink them
    so you yell at the surviving galleon s**m "GG get swash buckled land rots"
    and then continue on skullforting
    now here is where it getting bad they re-spawn within sight and are back to attack not 5 minutes later with "full" cannon balls and planks on them
    but we won again, we barely reached the final wave of the fort or we hear cannon fire again the same crew with enough re spawn supplies to take us down this time. so we spawn 5 minutes away go to the fort they just finished loading MY BOOTY on their ship as we arrive we get about 20 seconds of being able to shoot them before there galleon out speeds our poor sloop so these cowards even though beaten twice already get to sail away with no chance to stop them!

    anyway i thought of some things to fix this:

    • if a ship is sunken by PVP re-spawn them A LOT further away

    • if a ship is sunken by PVP force them to change servers

    • if a ship is sunken by PVP don't let them re spawn with that many cannonballs

    anyhow that is what really ruined my day of thieving sea's
    i hope something can be done about this

    anyone here had a similar problem?

  • I have to think it's a bug as I seem to always respawn at a far away island when I'm sunk.

    I agree.

    Me and my friends had many fights like your's aswell. We were able to beat one ship.
    Anyways Skull-Raids against one enemy ship take more than 2 hours to finish, if they keep coming back so fast.

    If there would've been 2 or more fighting against us
    (which keep respawning close) it would be an endless fight.

    But yes it is frustrating, especially for a sloop team on forts (they take ages to do duo from what I seen on streams). I think the first close respawn is fine, but there should be a timer between respawns. If you need to respawn again in less than 10 minutes or something it should push you even farther away from your sink location. If you are sunk again in 30 minutes server should auto transfer you to a new server.

    It's bad enough if a new group joins a server they are usually spawned withing 2 islands of the active fort.

    Longer respawn-timer is ok, with an empty ship.
    Means, no ammo, no planks, no bananas.
    Currently we spawn with:
    45x Cannon-balls
    15x Planks
    15x Bananas

    This loadout is enough to drive back to business within the seccond at fresh spawn. Further it is enough to annoy ppl over long time and even kill them.

    Balance ?!?! I dont think so. It's just a waste of an endless fight.

  • Today

    Today i found myself with 2 galleons that spawned a combined total of 7 times
    But i did win by playing them against each other
    and by getting more supplies from nearby sunken shipwrecks and floaty barrels
    while they where fighting each other and re spawning
    they gave up after about 90 minutes of no progress what so ever
    so i got my booty in the end
    even though that was a lot of fun, i'm still kinda upset because they should have been gone in 15 minutes after they both sank the first time in my opinion.
