I have an idea that will maybe work if there are pets in the game...
Well maybe there should be a progress system? for example: Do 100 treasure hunting to unlock the dove.
Or maybe a speciell event time to time to unlock a exclusive pet for exampel a beautiful parrot or some pet from a fantasy world like a griffing (a little baby griffing on the shoulder)

Not to play semantics but DLC or micro-transaction? Because DLC I think of the future free updates and micro-transactions are purchased? Unless we aren't calling the future addons DLC.
I would like some pets to be obtainable without money though.
@xcalypt0x I suppose it would be more of a micro transaction. And yeah I agree I would like to be able to earn a pet.
