Just a few changes I still really want to see made to the proximity chat (players not in your crew) in Sea of Thieves. Would be way more cool if in the future:
- Distance proximity chat is audible/text chat is readable was reduced to something more realistic.
- The main one: If the proximity chat was made to take into account the physical in-game environment surrounding the player. In the cave on Lone Cove for example? Players above shouldn't be able to hear you.
- The game already does an "echoey" modification to voice chat to players outside your crew's when inside "caves" (quoted because it does it when not always in a literal cave) but it needs a lot of work still to the accuracy of when it does it and how reverberant it is. Might be interesting to also see a modification to voice for when a player is underwater.
Any other interesting ideas you have that you would change about the way proximity chat currently functions in Sea of Thieves?
