HG Feedback

  • So I'm an OG player that stopped playing for some years and now I came back one month ago. I was playing HG for the second time today and I was having a competitive fight with one guy (solo sloop 1v1). Then for some reason, I had aggro a "fire" megalodon attacking me non stop and of course I lost the game. So first of all my question is, why devs think it's ok to have PvE in the middle of the fight of the PvP. And now for some mysterious "logic" after I won 4 battles, the 5 battle I played against a brigantine, which means it was 1v3. Besides 1v3, which is already unlogic, at least one guy had skelly curse aka much more experience than me. In the early days of SoT the balance between PvE and PvP was perfect, until xbox players and a lot of america players wanted a chill SoT to play with families, and what RARE did? Well let's create an artificial PvP environment aka "Sea Dog Arena" which was a fake PvP because you needed to sell chests to win. So when people wanted at that time a real Last Ship Standing you didn't make it. Then you shut down Arena and no one can finish the commendations. Years after you create this PvP that have theses two big unlogic problems.

Could it be that the "mysterious unlogic" you blame Rare for, was actually you, choosing to fight larger ships, having reached 4 wins?

  • @europa4033 if you think a bit, you understand that is unlogic to change ship size after X wins, especially when solo. That's it bud.

  • Then for some reason, I had aggro a "fire" megalodon attacking me non stop and of course I lost the game

Lost a pvp fight against a npc. Yup that sounded like actual gameplay.

why devs think it's ok to have PvE in the middle of the fight of the PvP.

Why do even OG pirates fall for the HG blindness? Nowhere does it say it a strictly one vs one.
Hourglass is and always been a tool to find pvp players in and I quote “in adventure servers” the same servers other players are and other dangers await.

And now for some mysterious "logic" after I won 4 battles, the 5 battle I played against a brigantine, which means it was 1v3. Besides 1v3, which is already unlogic, at least one guy had skelly

HG blindness. Not reading when it says you won matches so you are able to fight against bigger crews for a bigger h challenge. And skeleton curse means nothing. Mr.OG experience is an invisible number and display, I know kids who have the curse thanks to piggie backing.

Nah man. It wasn’t just Xbox it was the kids. Including pc and don’t blame americas that being rude.

Well let's create an artificial PvP environment aka "Sea Dog Arena" which was a fake PvP because you needed to sell chests to win

Hey apparently that was wrong. I was told it wasn’t about the chest to win. It was exploiting the scores and taking turns just to win without actually battling.

I remember back in the day. People got sunk while doing voyages and were okay with it. They knew the game and what happens. Players fought and won, nobody cried. That true days of SoT
If a kraken, Meg and skeleton ship spawn on you during combat. You work together or used the moment to win. All fair in a battle against others, or follow the lore and treat the threats as common enemies

But nobody thinks like that anymore. Everything is against them, nothing is fair, nobody enjoys the game for what it is.
We were equal on the seas before and frankly enjoyed it all.

Short: You misunderstood what HG is for and how it works, read up on it and understand. It’s very simple tool for combat in an open world.

You said you won 4 battles yes? Then you said the 5th fight you were against a brig, "which is 1v3" as you say, which says to me you were "solo sloop", as you said at the start, yes? So I'm here telling you that after your 4th win, there's an option on the hourglass (on the table) for YOU (not Rare) to choose to fight larger ships. Had you not selected this option, you would've continued fighting other sloops, but you chose to fight larger ships, which is "unlogic" to me why you chose to do it and then blame Rare. That's it bud.
