I would like to share feedback regarding Smuggler Caches.
I spent around 3 hours sailing between islands and carefully checking shorelines, beaches, and coastal areas where Smuggler Caches are supposed to appear. During that time, I was not able to find a single cache.
I understand that Smuggler Caches are meant to be random and not guaranteed to appear on every island. However, the current spawn rate feels extremely low, to the point where completing related commendations and achievements becomes more frustrating than fun.
This does not feel like a normal challenge, but more like waiting for very rare RNG with no clear way to progress. It would be great if the team could review the current spawn rate or consider adding more reliable ways to find Smuggler Caches.
Possible improvements:
Slightly increase the spawn rate of Smuggler Caches.
Add visual clues or hints when a cache is nearby.
Make them more likely to appear near active smuggler routes.
Add a voyage, map clue, or event that helps players locate them.
Make sure the caches are still spawning correctly after recent updates.
Thank you for reading. I really enjoy Sea of Thieves, but this specific activity currently feels too difficult to progress through because the caches are so rare.
