Idea for a new open-sea event theme.

  • When we are sailing at night, a constellation shaped like an arrow will appear in the sky, pointing in a specific direction—usually toward a large island. On that marked island, there will be a book that the player must open. Inside, there will be a clue about where to dig on that island.
    The player will receive a chest to unlock, and inside it there will be a compass that points to a random island. After collecting this chest, the player will be marked on the map for other players. If multiple players obtain the compass on different islands, they will all be directed to the same chest.
    Once the chest is dug up, the player can only deliver it to a specific outpost. When turned in to any emissary, most of its value will be in experience for that emissary, as well as commendations, including Guild and Reaper.
    Only one chest can exist on the map at a time. After it is sold, it may take between 2 to 3 in-game day and night cycles for it to appear again.
    Regarding the books on these islands: they will not be readable unless the event is active. Once the chest is found, the books and compasses are deactivated. The player will also be able to sell it to the Gold Hoarders emissary and receive a small amount of doubloons for it

  • @dkaito2118 Nah, nobody will participate in this after a few weeks, especially if it's not worth anything but xp. The only content players keep consistently doing, is the content that makes the most gold, or is the most fun. This doesn't sound like any of those 2.
