If you want to improve Hourglass PvP, please work together to solve this problem.

  • I heard that you are going to change the circle of PVP. Let it shrink over time.
To be honest, I don't agree with this idea because it assumes that ships are also a part of game technology.
Most people, as long as you have been to school, should understand that when turning, the inner circle is faster than the outer circle.
If your PVP opponent keeps running, then this is also a tactic.
Of course, that's not my topic for this time.

I hope you can change the PVP hourglass. Allow the captain of the vessel to turn off the PVP hourglass voting for their own vessel.
Add a new option switch "Allow my crew to use PVP hourglass voting" under the "Allow friends to join my ship" setting.
Why add this feature? Due to the fact that both task voting and hourglass voting are conducted on the task table. I voted for a sailing mission at the task table and asked my crew to vote for it in the captain's cabin.
Since they are just starting to play the game, they don't know what I asked them to vote for. They voted for the PVP hourglass, and no one on our ship wants to play PVP.
This resulted in the 5th level envoy flag on our ship being stolen by someone.

Someone may argue with me that every crew member is equal.
But this rule should not apply to this aspect.
But as the captain of a ship, if I don't want to use my ship to participate in PVP.
Especially when I worked hard for 30 minutes to an hour to get my ship to the level 5 envoy flag.
The crew members who joined my ship midway came in and voted for PVP hourglass.
    Is this equal to me?
If they want to participate in PVP, they can set sail on their own ship.
I think you really should add this option for the captain,

But you had time to Vote it down...before doing anything. There is even a Label on the screen that says "Welcome to Hourglass" or something, but you should know and react.

The crew members who joined my ship midway came in and voted for PVP hourglass.

Well, Turn off Open Crew and only allow shipmates you trust.

  • This sounds like an open crew issue, not an hourglass issue.

Open crew is not for completing specific missions, or getting help with your chosen goals. It's not for earning money, winning fights, gaining reputation, or working towards commendations. Open crew is there for when you want to roll a dice and see what adventure you end up in the middle of. It can be tedious with people joining and quitting straight away. But it can also be a lot of fun if you manage your expectations and laugh in the face of failure.

That being said, I think more could be done to communicate this to players and to help them manage their expectations accordingly. Letting people have bad experiences because they weren't aware of what to expect, and then afterwards when they complain saying "Yeah that's kind of how the game is", is possibly not the best way of doing things.
