Hit a player and they are impaired/drunk and have the game side effects as being drunk, the swaying and etc, combat and repairing would be a challenge or entertainment.
The tankard is too slow, just inject that grog straight in the veins.

While it sounds really fun, I doubt they'd do something like that with how OP it'd be in pvp combat.
