Traps have a time and place, although personally I'm not big on tuck style plays as I don't have the patience but I find that I can't ever afford to carry them. I have throwables bound to a button so I can quickly get follow up damage to confirm a kill before a player can eat. I never want to pull a trap out in this instance and need to cycle. So as a result while I might use them otherwise, the potential odd fun play with them isn't worth the risk in closer fights.
I would rather they just be on the wheel so any use of them is deliberate and time specific. For angone that disagrees I suggest it be an option and not forced.
Edit to add they have already been separated in terms of no longer taking up space from 5 throwables so don't think this is a massive step from that
