Guild Hideouts

    My guild hosted a movie night in Discord where we watched Pirates of the Caribbean together, and we thought... How cool would it be if guilds could have a hideout?

    • It could work similarly to the Athena's Fortune hideout where you use a shanty to gain access to a portal that puts you into the hideout.
    • Only people from the same crew can enter the hideout, similarly to the Athena's Fortune hideout.
    • Guilds have to reach a certain level to unlock the Guild Hideout.
    • Guild hideouts can be decorated similarly to ships.
    • The guild leader has the ability to enable/disable other members decorating the hideout.
    • The hideout is just a place to show off trinkets and maybe has a table where players can interact with chairs to sit down (similarly to Glitterbeard's hideout).

    Special hideout cosmetics or themes could be unlocked through:

    • Guild levels
    • Commendation rewards
    • The Pirate Emporium

    Yet another great idea Rare will probably never add.

    I like the idea, but I have a feeling it’s not gonna happen.

    "Only people from the same crew can enter the hideout" - why crew? Why not the whole guild?

    I think the idea is to start every guild session on a private, instanced guild hideout/island, available for every guild member. You could have a space to hang out with friends. You could have the guild ships parked there, available for boarding. Just grab supplies, jump on it, raise anchor with formed crew and set sail to a shared server.

    @hegemon3 Well the whole guild having access would be awesome. I only suggested "only the crew" because that's how Athena's Hideout works, and I figured it would be easier for the Rare team to implement something that already exists in the game. It would be less effort on their end. However, if they were inclined to create a guild hideout that all of the guild members could access, that would be amazing. I just don't think it would fit with what exists already.

    As for being able to park ships and gather supplies, I think that would be a big no on Rare's end. I think asking for all of that is much less feasible.

    @athyrie But that's not how Athena's Hideout works. Everyone on the server has access there, it is a place on a server where you can meet anyone. You can even pvp there and you respawn at the entrance (yup, happened to me).
