What if the ships max crew size was tweaked, as from what i've seen from xbox group posts, discord chats, and even in my own friend groups that we always never have enough room for everyone. For example of something that happened recently while playing sea of thieves was how we all wanted to do hourglass to get our reputation up for those sweet sweet curses but having five people play hourglass on one boat is impossible because no ship has that much room so we had to completely scratch hourglass because whats the point in doing it with friends is your friends can't play? So I'm requesting to either have the max crew size increased for the larger boats or perhaps use the model for the flameheart flagship and make it into its own ship type and just go from there and knock out two birds with one stone by both increasing the max crew size and giving everyone a new ship type to play with as well. But you may be thinking, whats the point in giving the developers more work just to meet the desires of one singular person? The point of this is to speak for everyone that wants this change to happen according to various xbox group posts, discord chats, ect.
Ship crew size
@blazegamer44311 Balance. it might be fine in a same ship battle. but in a server with mixed crews you will still end up with solo players.
Your group should just launch 2 boats.
I like the idea of a big ship for larger crew, but I'm hopeful the Burning Blade will allow this, as it might be the closest thing we get.
I noticed that Bone Caller grenades don't attack alliance crews, so I'm hoping we can crew the Burning Blade with more than one crew.

@blazegamer44311 Balance.
Unless you're a PvP god, a solo has only a small chance to sink a competent galleon crew.
For me, balance is about the chances of a smaller crew being able to sink a big one. The game is not currently balanced.@burnbacon said in Ship crew size:
Balancing a large ship and a VERY large pool of players wont ever use because, not everyone has a large pool of friends who can fill it.
After years of playing SoT, my group keeps getting bigger. There is a demand for a larger boat.
All the argument about balance revolves around the plight of solo players, but I believe this is a flawed argument.
Solo players get dunked on all the time in the game already. This has never changed, but changes to the game has made it easier to survive.
I don't think adding a large boat with 6 players is going to change that at all, if anything it might reduce it, given a larger boat may result in less boats on the server.Argument stands.
Friends today, Gone the next. Resulting in: Ship size nobody uses like the Galleon.
Lasts time anyone seen more than 1 galleon on a server that was crewed and functional without "issues"?Just hate to see wasted resources for something that be popular for 1 month and find it unbalanced, unfair, and frankly not fun to even be part of. Think 2 galleon crews joining together one a single galleon. In the end, 1 player is gonna manage the ship while the rest all jump ship to do, non ship related stuff. Just to sink duo sloop or a Brig of three sailors.
