Can we gift Ancient coins? Content creator doubt

  • Hello everyone,

I just started playing SoT a week ago and I'm having a blast exploring this amazing sandbox. I have no idea why I waited 5 years to buy it.

My friends and I, we have a gaming community where we occasionally stream our games on twitch. Sorry if this is not the right place to ask questions, but I did not found anything similar on forums. My doubt is, there is any possibility to buy Ancient coins and use them as gift? my idea was to gift some coins eventually on my community. Is something I do with some online games. Also considering to gift a copy of SoT, but I did not found any info about Ancient coins.

    Kind regards,
    IsvRada

  • @isvrada9412 I don't think you can give out Ancient Coins directly in-game however you can sign up for the free creator crew here. This gives you the ability to give out Twitch drops, regardless of viewership. You also can get access to creator tools. I belive you can give out cosmetics but I am not 100% sure as you might need to be in the partner programme to give them away. Partners have required viewer numbers but greater tools, and Creator crew does not have viewer number requirements but has less tools.

    Happy Sailing!

  • @riptide3683 Sounds good! I'll take a look right now. Thank you so much.

  • So ancient coins themselves from the store(Microsoft/Xbox/Steam) are not available to gift, but bundles from the store can be gifted. Physical and online retailers also sell ancient coin codes like gift cards, so those can be purchased and given away.

The Plunder Pass can also be gifted from the store. So that’s another cool idea. As well as having drops from the creator crew as the above poster mentioned.

  • @abjectarity Awesome! thank you guys

  • Best way to do that is give out Microsoft gift cards.

  • While you might have missed out on an excessive amount of fomo cosmetic and events... If you enjoy the game for what it is honestly waiting 5 years to buy it was probably the best choice you made. There have been a lot of growing pains and drama along the way but I feel the SoT experience for newer players is just getting better and better over time while those of us who have been around since the release are losing steam... Not all of us but I imagine a good amount, I'm sure I'm not alone in that. I played like 3 or 4 days in March when season9 started and I have only logged in to actually play maybe 5 times in the past 6 months.
