Prison Escape World Event Idea

  • You know what Sea of Thieves is missing? A prison escape event. It would be a world event where you enter a certain area of the map, and half of your crew is taken to the prison, but if you're by yourself, you get teleported to the prison and your ship is kept safe from weather, players, and entities. In the prison, you have 3 lives to complete it, and only 8 people can participate in it. Everyone that's in the prison have to work together in order to successfully escape on the escape galleon. In the prison, you start it with you sitting in a cell, and then after a minute, the prison dogs appears with the keys in his mouth, and you have to persuade it to come over with the bit of pork you have in a fun mini-game, and if you fail it, then other players can get you out, as teamwork is essential for the escape, and then you have to avoid guards and dogs, don't worry, you only knock out the dogs instead of killing it, patrol boats, and deadly security measures, and to defend yourself, you have to make it to the guard room to get a cutlass to help defend yourself. Once everyone gets to where the escape galleom is, you have to defend against waves of guards so that others can open the locked gate that stands between you and freedom. Once you get sailing, you have to defend against multiple ships of guards. If you escape successfully, you'll be teleported to your ship and each member of your crew gets 50,000 gold.

  • This... sounds like another game entirely if I'm gonna be honest here.

    Sea of Thieves could benefit from new world events or unique voyages, but usually keeping the boat close to you is a very important thing when playing the game, you're barely a pirate without a ship of your own to get safely from place to place.

  • Yea idk about all this. Any imprisoning by the game cannot be done by anyone but the crew members. Having a world event that imprisons people is just not well thought out.

    Persuading a dog with keys to come to you.......like im sorry but this would not be a good content loop for people to be using as a form of escape. It's too predictable, and tropey.

    Lets try to rework your idea into something manageable for what tools we already have in game.

    Any imprisoning would HAVE to be done to an NPC not a player.

    Maybe a merchant alliance quest to free a captured merchant at high seas or something.

    That would actually be a cool voyage. Maybe there should be an event where you have to free pirates from NPC ship's.
