Yes, the title is missleading, i dont share that either. But the whole discussion is not about that.
Additionallly: the cheater issue is not a simple accusation without evidence as you are trying to (missleadingly) present it.
There is plenty of evidence: The Youtube Videos and the google searches show how easy accessible and how effective the hacks are.
And the personal experience of players give evidence about the issue in game, first hand experience. To disregard all that and going on narrating there would be no prove is simply shady.

I have played organically as a risk taker in a risk/reward environment the entire time I have played.

What am I allegedly defending or protecting? With my hours and combat encounters I've probably sunk and been robbed more than anyone here. If there was a widespread cheating problem I certainly have no motives that would lead to defending cheaters or cheats in the game. Widespread cheating would directly negatively impact me.

If you are under the impression that I want to fight cheating duos, brigs, and galleons while I am a solo you are mistaken.

If you are under the impression that I am cheating then you are unfamiliar with how I play.

There are several programs (easily seen on YT or google) that are IMPOSSIBLE to prove, but that generate immense suspicion, either because they always shoot where you are, or because they never miss cannonballs, or for any other specific reason in the fight. If you don't know them, google it.

I already suspected cheater several times. Howerver, I'm not here to defend the thread creator. So, please, be more reasonable when you say "lack of evidence" or "they are better players than you".

An accusation of cheating is still an accusation even if the accuser doesn't want to hold themselves accountable for the accusation.

"I didn't accuse the community of cheating I SUSPECT that there are many in the community that are cheating" is not any less of a damaging accusation.

This is important because when a community turns on one another it creates "undesirables". It creates unjust justification to mistreat people. This has long happened here against the "tdm" community. An attempt to tie poor behavior to play style. This leads to anger about people that use 2 guns, then some fire back because their play styles are being blamed for behavior. It creates anger and poor treatment of each other.

@sweetsandman "If they're so obvious, surely you're capturing evidence and reporting them, yeah?" the other day a really obvious cheat was witnessed by hundreds of players on a stream. Video of course submitted. Wonder if the cheater knew he was on a super popular stream.
