Why do I have to be a reaper emissary and sell 5 grade 5 merchant, Gold Hoarders and Order of Souls flags to get the faction hat without the rest of the ugly set? Surely there should be a reaper and non reaper method to get these items. I've been anti-reaper from day one but have always wanted the merchant hat by itself. Forcing me to be reapers to get the cosmetic to RP as a merchant is just silly.
And yes I know we have the company outfits but I dont want the whole outfit, just the hat.
@SailorKek You also have to defeat the Servant Of The flame and his henchmen as an Athenas fortune dude to get the servant's hat. Surely there should be a reaper way to get these items right?
I have been an anti Ramsey dude since day one but I want the hat itself :)

See I wouldn't know as I'm not a reaper but it does sound like the same issue which could have easily have been sorted before release with just a touch oh hindsight.
Edit: oh I know what you mean, yeah all the dark Adventurer set better be moved eventually, whilst we're in the subject the PL vendors need fixing too. My game never loads the items in right because its all just jumbled together.

Its fine as it is. You get the hat of your defeated foe. Since you also defeat the Servant at the end of the LOTV, it makes sense. I love the concept.

@thorumsu oh yeah its cool for reapers, but as a merchant I want my usual outfit + the merchant hat. That way we both get to earn the hat whilst at the same not taking away the option or limiting it behind the full outfit.

So you are saying that reapers can be forced into a playstyle but other factions should not?
I will say my point again. You earn the hats by defeating a foe that "bears' them. That should apply both to reapers and other factions. You get the reaper hat by defeating the servant, Same as other factions.

Well... They could have made it so you earn a burnt down version of the hat for reapers and all but its too late. You cant expect them to move cosmetics. Imagine the outrage.

But you are a rarity. Imagine the outrage of reapers who put hours of PVP training (or luck) into sinking those ships only to learn they moved the cosmetics to a new commendation? Yeah, they would burn not just golden sands but the whole seas if that happens.

Still all their work is wasted. They now know that some clueless crew can get the hat they worked so hard to get (I dont count alliance servers as they dont even play in normal servers).

Hardly wasted, im not saying people should get it right out the gate and lets be honest, having a merchants hat is hardly a top tier cosmetic is it..
You're right, I dont want to pvp to get a merchant hat, i want to do merchant things instead. I'd probably settle for the outfits we already have if they let us disable the hook and pegleg but no sign of that either.
Bro you don't need to RP as reapers for this. Doesn't matter if you're ''anti-reaper from day one''. It literally just wants you to actually PvP someone. I don't remember if you even need to be Emissary, but if you do, just sail to hideout, raise level 1 reaper, sell the Flag, and lower your emissary.
