My brother and I were just playing and acquired a large haul of treasure. We were given a notice that in 15 minutes the server would shut down, but we were not playing during scheduled maintenance time and were able to immediately load back into another server. We lost out on getting to cash in the large majority of our treasure due to this, as we made our best effort to cash in our Athena’s loot to get the most out of our emissary and also complete commendations related to emissary flags, having to sail all the way to reapers hideout to cash those in. We were not able to cash in more than our Athena’s loot, as there was not ample time to do more than that. This is the first time we’ve experienced this, and I am no expert on the technicalities of how this kind of thing works by any means, but it seems to me like this should not be an issue that occurs. That being said, if this sort of thing is happening frequently, there needs to be much longer of a notice. 30 minutes seems an appropriate ask, at the bare minimum, if not longer.
I do not usually find myself having any problem with the game. I love it and have tons of fun with it, but this issue seemed to me like it needed to be mentioned and hopefully addressed quickly, especially if this is happening to other crews as well.
