Buried Treasure, Stashes VS. Hordes.

  • This was only really being done by other players for the first month. Then for a few weeks after that, I do what I am willing to bet 99.99% of all other players do, check the board before I leave, looking for Horde Maps, but ignore Stash maps with only 2 pieces of junk.
I've come to realize now that the last 25 times I've checked, there haven't been any Horde maps, only Stash maps.
That's when I realized, the game only auto-generates the stashes, and hordes must come from other players.
Well, since I disregard Stash maps, as they feel like a waste of my time, and since I know that no one really posts horde maps any more, I don't even bother looking any more. And that's it. This "novel" idea is now "dead," after one season.

You know what would get me (and thusly, probably many others who play just like me) looking again? If at least 5% of the time, there was an auto-generated "Horde" map waiting for me. If there was a slim chance I could get a Horde map, I would still waste my time looking.

  • @admiralcorporal Sounds good to me.

I also wish that you got more for burying and giving away the map to the quest board.

RN i'm doing it occasionally just to put the good vibes out there, but if there was a more substantial reward for making your own treasure maps that would encourage many more people to do it.

PS. I'm sorry to whoever dug up my treasure on chicken isle... i was ALSO unhappy carrying those three chests of sunken sorrow around.
