Saying Goodbye to The Arena

To everyone saying them giving away the good boy boat to lvl 50 arena players, you have had all this time to do it plus there have been tons of cosmetics that were there to motivate you. this is something they are doing to show appreciation to those who actually enjoyed the mode. if you want all the other stuff you have enough time to unlock everything 4 times over.

I have over 1300 hours in the game. You could have at least given a 24 hour warning on the ship cosmetics for being level 50. I’m level 48.5 and have just got into the arena. How frustrating. Was every level I earned past level 5 worthless because I didn’t get to level 50? Seems your forgetting about a large chunk of players who have put in a ton of time but we’re mere inches from level 50. Is there a remedy for this? Thanks

@ryannewbz Literally. I tried SO many times to get into an Arena game but the queue was just broken. It needed fixing, not killing off.

please don't do this all the time I was sitting in the arena I dreamed of getting legends see dog I won 100 wins but because of a long problem with my computer I could not play and now I am learning about removing the arena which did not allow me to get skins :(

@buffbillsmafia I'm so, so sorry. Rare failed you. I hate how they're treating older dedicated players. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get into a game of Arena too because they never bothered to fix the broken queues. They're definitely driving players away and it's sad to see.

I'm rank 42 im OK with not getting the good boy set I am sad that as someone who has been trying to grind threw arena I'll never get the majority of the achievements thankfully I'm only 20 3rd place wins from silver captian achievement so I'll get the cosmetic set I want, but sea dogs is the most beautiful cosmetic sets in the game its a shame they can't just move the achievements to the main game so that there can be some pvp achievements for us to earn. Kills with weapons and cannon kills could easily be moved over, the shovel one already has been. Maybe just change areana wins to ships sunk in pvp its a shame these aren't being considered instead of removing completely.

@sc-darkdefender they'll repurpose them to something else in adventure mode. Not to worry. Probably more time friendly for your friend too haha

What an actual kick in the gut to make up a deadline, the second you let everyone know you're closing arena. Glad I missed out on the deadline to hit 50 the second you created the deadline. Cool, thanks guys. Thanks a lot. Glad I was given a warning ahead of time to get up there before Arena was actually closed down. Honestly, the deadline for the ship set rewards should be when Arena actually closes. Give people a reason to get their final grind out, besides finishing up simple commendations. I've never disagreed with anything you guys have done so heavily than I do with this. Even the other things I've disagreed on, it's never been a full on "This is unfair and absolute trash" type of disagreement. You dropped the ball on this one.

I think the team really wanted to thank those players that had engaged in Arena... And having a cut off point of today was the best call to make sure non of them pesky pirates hopped on and stole that Sea Dog glory ;D

I was waiting to do Arena because as it is, it's just not fun.. Had I known it'd be removed before it was fixed, I would have pushed through the slog..

I think this guy was onto something. This will get lost in the sea of comments. I know this wasn't and easy decision for you guys and people keep asking for an extension. But you guys have planted your feet in the ground and aren't moving anytime soon. I can respect that. But I think for arena rep 45+ you should give them the arena good boy flag. I am only arena 39 I don't deserve it but all these people were so close. I rarely see flags used but I think folks would be grateful for recognition for their arena efforts. No extension, no new set, just the good boy flag for arena 45. But I am excited for what's to come in adventure. Cheers to the arena and whats to befall the sea of thieves

Nah, if you haven't hit 50 yet you don't deserve it.

You have a beautiful game and it's a pity, only 140 wins are missing

Or those who bought their levels from Duke/Larinna and barely played it.

Why not make the Good Boy set available until the end of arena? Level 45

I think you should still let people use the Sea Dog weapons to advance and unlock the higher Sea Dog Weapons. For example - you had a commendation for digging up stuff with the Sea Dog Shovel. This carried over into the Adventure world and I completed that commendation by using the Sea Dog shovel to dig up everything in Adventure. You could do the same with the weapons. Kill so many pirates using Sea Dog sword and advance to purchase the next sword. Same for pistol, blunder and eye of reach. In this way people could still unlock all the weapon sets after the Arena finished. It would be unique because I don't know of any other weapon cosmetic that requires me to kill X pirates with one sword just to unlock a higher sword...

I wasted a lot of time in arena TDM, but wasn't getting 1st places, because of playing with skillful players. That's the reason I'm not 50, but 49 arena level. That's really sad about not getting Good Boy set. I spent really alot of time in arena.

@realstyli 50 months of logging in to buy level up packs is dedication one could argue lol

I don't understand why you need to close the arena. If it's wasting too much resources on you, just reduce the number of servers it's installed on. From the fact that you close it - the game will not become better. Beginners will not be allowed to play adventures because now most of the players playing in the arena will either leave your "great" game or go to drown the nubics in adventures.

I understand and accept your decision. It was fun while it lasted. I can't wait to sail the good boy in adventure.
